Our Story

Family-run. Harbourside. Open when others aren't.

The Chippy is run by the Phillips family, right on Brixham harbour — England's busiest fishing port. Our cod and haddock come off the boats a stone's throw from our front door.

We're open all year, seven days a week, including the quiet winter months when most of the harbour shuts up shop. Dog-walkers, coast-path hikers, fishing crews, ferry passengers, retired couples, families with kids — everyone's welcome on our bench.

No fuss. No marketing speak. Just good food, made by hand, served honest.
